Gemair is a recognised SACAA Approved Maintenance Organisation, AMO 1003 and has a team of nine full time engineers who together have a combined total of more than 60 years of aviation experience.

About Us

Started in 2007 by Andries Venter, Gemair has grown to include several hangars on the south side of Lanseria International Airport. Andries was originally trained by the South African Air Force as an engineer and he has more than 22 years’ aviation maintenance experience. Andries is very knowledgeable about your maintenance requirements and will happily advise potential buyers on buying and selling aircraft. Gemair can provide you with a great level of aviation maintenance service.

Out of the Blue Air Safaris

Out of the Blue Air Safaris or OOTBAS for short was established in 1995, we have been flying thousands of clients to destinations ranging from private game lodges to major international airports in the Southern African region. We maintain our own aircraft to the highest degree of serviceability to ensure your peace of mind. OOTBAS is a small operation based at Lanseria Airport, one of the busiest small airports in the Johnannesburg Gauteng area. We have a wide variety of aircraft and crew, able to take passengers or freight, pressurised or unpressurised, single or twin engine. We strive to give our clients the very best personal attention.
